What is the difference between platinum silicone and tin sili

        Liquid silicone is composed of two components A and B. The two components are mixed manually or mechanically according to a certain proportion, evenly stirred, vacuumize bubbles, cured at room temperature or heating temperature.

        There are the following differences between platinum silicone and tin silicone:

        (1) The curing principle is different.
        Condensation cured silicone rubber is cured / formed by organotin (organotin system) curing agent (Note: curing agent is also called hardener),
        The addition cured silicone rubber is cured / formed by platinum catalyst (Platinum system).

        (2) The proportions of components A and B are different.
       The ratio of condensation cure silicone rubber A and B is generally 100:2, 100:3 or 100:5, and a few European and American countries provide 10:1,
       The ratio of addition cure silicone rubber A and B is generally 1:1, 10:1 or 9:1 (the most popular one in the market is 1:1).


       
        (3) Different environmental protection levels.
        Tin cure silicone is an industrial grade, and the curing agent has a certain smell
        Platinum cure silicone is environment-friendly food grade, non-toxic and odor free, and has reached the FDA certification of American food grade (some can reach the medical grade).

        (4) Different shrinkage.
       The shrinkage of tin cure silicone rubber is about 0.3% to 0.5%;
       The shrinkage of platinum cure silicone rubber is very small, about 0.1%.

        (5) Temperature resistance is different.
       High temperature resistance of tin cured silicone: 100 ℃-150 ℃, temperature resistance of platinum cured silicone: 150 ℃-220 ℃,
       The additive silicone rubber has better high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance and aging resistance than condensed silicone.
 

        (6) Different colors.
       The addition cure silicone can be made transparent and highly transparent. Of course, the price will be more expensive,
       Condensation cure silicone is usually produced in translucent or milky white. There is no transparent. Of course, liquid silicone rubber can be colored (it can be colored according to requirements).

        (7) Different application
       The application field of addition silicone is much wider than that of condensation silicone, for example, it can be used in high-end fields such as food, human body, precision casting and so on.
