What's R.T.V.( room temperature vulcanizing) silic...

R.T.V.( room temperature vulcanizing) silicone rubbers are fantastic mold  making materials with the intention of providing precise surface detail of the existing part or prototype. Along with excellent reproduction  characteristics, R.T.V. silicones exhibit low shrinkage within a vary from 0 to 0.006 inches per inch and elongation which range from 100 to 1000 percent.       One of the major disadvantages of silicone rubber molds is the tendency to distort. This challenge is overcome in the prior art by casting the silicone rubber in an enclosure especially fabricated to allow the silicone rubber to possess a considerable thickness. This thickness may vary from 1 inch to 6 inches depending on the dimensions of the part. There's a limit however regarding thickness that a silicone rubber mold can be produced since they become self-deforming because of their own weight.      Another problem with R.T.V. silicone rubber mold is definitely the very high cost the materials. On the list of objects of this invention should be to supply a mold material that offers the attributes of a silicone rubber mold but is cheaper to make.      Another object of the invention would be to offer a mold material which has more rigidity than just a conventional silicone rubber mode.      A further object of the invention should be to offer a mold material that's easier to handle than conventional silicone rubber molds.
